Ehlers Creative is built on more than 20 years of marketing leadership, creative direction, brand strategy, and design experience.
Leslie Ehlers' creative foundation began at the University of Georgia, where she earned a degree in Studio Art, followed by specialized graduate study at Portfolio Center with a focus on design, advertising, and marketing. That combination of fine art training, conceptual thinking, and strategic communication shaped the way she approaches creative work: with both an artist's eye and a marketer's understanding of how ideas need to perform.
Before starting Ehlers Creative, Leslie built her career leading marketing for brands with real business goals, real audiences, and a lot of moving pieces. She spent 18 years directing marketing for regional homebuilders, helping shape the brands, campaigns, sales tools, signage, digital presence, and community marketing that supported major growth and the successful sale of two record-breaking homebuilding companies to large national public builders.
She later served as Chief Marketing Officer for Colony Bank, leading marketing for a publicly traded financial institution across banking, lending, mortgage, insurance, wealth, and specialty business lines. That role sharpened what has always been central to her work: bringing clarity, polish, consistency, and creative energy to complex organizations with a lot to say.
Leslie's experience sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. She can help define the message, shape the look, organize the plan, direct the creative, manage the vendors, and get the work across the finish line. Her background gives clients access to senior-level marketing perspective without the layers of a traditional agency.
Along the way, Leslie earned the Master in Residential Marketing designation from the National Association of Home Builders, was named Marketing Director of the Year for the Savannah MSA, and received national recognition for Best Marketing and Media Integration for her work on the Savannah St. Jude Dream Home campaign. The Savannah-area St. Jude Dream Home campaigns she led sold out in 2018, 2019, and 2020, raising more than $2 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
